Small Talk!
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Small-Talk http://www.realsimple.com/work-life/work-life-etiquette/manners/10-big-rules-small-talk/page2 http://www.forbes.com/sites/christinapark/2015/03/30/an-introverts-guide-to-small-talk-eight-painless-tips/#53449ff05564 These articles brought several ideas to my mind: Discuss one or each of the articles and talk about whether they are feasible or not for you. What is so scary about small talk? Is that something I can work on? Do I enjoy when people approach me? If so, in what ways? When? How? Do I have any 'go to' stories or jokes? What is really interesting about me? Or my culture or family? Why is so much easier to ask "excuse me what time is it?" versus "What book are you reading? Is it good?" What are some great questions to ask people? Do I show enthusiasm? How? If you feel comfortable, break into pairs and practice random scenarios, like a game! Discuss what went well, and what didn't, without being too critical.
