I am also attaching a chart that I handed out last semester regarding the suface and deep culture. We would like to focus more on the deep culture topics if possible. Please feel free to let me know if you have another other concerns or questions regarding the conversation sessions. The reason is that the coordinator will use the attendance sheets to check against the entries and fix any mistakes entered. Please put in the request for data assistance by next Friday, April 12, 2013. 4) As a reminder, the conversation session guidelines for this semester can be taken from the previous three semesters based on students' needs. http://umdesol.weebly.com/session-guidelines-and-materials.html I meant to rewrite a new conversation session guideline, but I have found that many of the session ideas overlap from previous sessions guidelines. Thus, feel free to use or modify the previous session guidelines as it fits your students' needs. Some of your students may have had the conversation sessions from previous semester, so it would be great to make sure that you tweak it so that it is not repetitive for them. 5) Mid-semester evaluation A mid-semester evaluation on the program will be sent shortly and any other comments are welcomed. Please take 2-3 minutes to fill out the survey. The survey will be open till Wednesday, April 10, 2013. http://studentvoice.com/md/esolprogramvolunteers 6) Bi-Weekly Socials are underway, please check umdesol.weebly.com for most updated information to join a bi-weekly social or if you would like to lead/co-lead a session.
