The Learning Assistance Service (LAS) of the University Counseling Center is looking for a few well organized and self-motivated individuals to meaningfully assist the LAS ESOL conversation program during the 2014-15 academic year. The UMD ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Conversation Program is a community that specifically aims to bring students and community members from diverse cultures together through authentic language learning/teaching, cultural exchange, social activities, and a passion for multiculturalism. - UMD Students who are or will be education majors, interested in/ experienced with TESOL, and/or international cultural exchanges are strongly preferred. - The internship would be up to 10-15 hours a week for academic credit. - Interns will take on program administrative, outreach, communication/advertising and social event planning responsibilities.
